The discipline of Spirit is focused around observation, manipulation, and control of Spirits, the realm they originate from, and their energies. A tradition most known and studied by the Taki-Ori as a cultural landmark, even they argue there are many things still unknown about it.

Those that can use the discipline of Spirit are observed to create slightly stranger echoes, suggesting that their own resonance extends to the Spirit Realm and explaining how many of their spells work — allowing them to invite, or even forcibly summon spirits and bind them either as companions or to serve as powerful and efficient but corruptive sources of enchantment. Outside of the direct summoning of spirits, spells of this discipline are capable of tearing rifts into the Astral Plane, a one-way trip for any mortal foolish to enter.
