Tireppi have a long history in the fields of software and technology - their flagship OS, Osprey (supposedly putting the needs of an OS before their needs as a company) - and its many derivatives is the most widely used operating system in Niyala. They have since, strategically taken over various companies to consolidate their authority over information security and networking.

Originally created between numerous governments and corporations, 'The Net' was built upon existing infrastructure and through tenuous business alliances with CamTECH, to provide a more stable and 'person-centric' communication protocol. While The Net is a largely unmanaged system and Tireppi can no longer exert direct control over it - their deep and confidential knowledge of its inner workings, on top of market saturation of their OS, has given them plenty of indirect authority.
